Craig Williams MP & Russell George MS will be hosting a ‘Fraud Awareness Drop-In Session’ next month, in conjunction with HSBC.
The event will take place on Friday 27th October between 10:30am-12:30pm, at St Mary’s Church House, Church Street, Welshpool, SY21 7DP. It will bring together a range of organisations that will offer support and advice on fraud awareness, and who will be able to help with any queries which residents have. Entry to the event is free and all are welcome to attend.
Organisations who will be there on the day include:
- Dyfed Powys Police – Regional Crime Prevent & Protect
- Celtic Credit Union
- Citizens Advice Powys
Commenting ahead of the event, Craig Williams MP said:
“In light of ever-increasing incidences of fraud on a global basis, I am conscious of the extremely worrying effect this has on my constituents across Montgomeryshire. Cybersecurity, scams, money laundering, improper payments, identity theft – there’s much to think about and be aware of for individuals, businesses and organisations.
“Russell and I, in conjunction with HSBC, are therefore very pleased to be jointly hosting this event, which will bring together a range of organisations that can offer support and advice on fraud awareness.”
Russell George MS said:
“With incidents of fraud becoming significantly more sophisticated and frequent over recent years, it is great to be able to host this drop-in session with a wide range of organisations, who will be able to offer key advice and assistance to all residents across Montgomeryshire.”
